The panel discussion will have four introductory presentations of 5-6 minutes each on issues and concepts related to building resilient food system in Africa form various perspectives. The first presentation by the moderator will set the stage on how to move from policy to programmatic action using Titukulane project implemented by CARE – Malawi and its partners. The second panellist – Dr. Ifeoma Quinette Anugwa will present the results from adaptation to climate change and resilience building in Nigeria. The third panellist – Dr. Bandiougou Dembele will present the research and extension efforts in Mali to build resilient food system in Mali. Finally, the last presentation by Dr. Joseph Tinarwo will bring out the challenges and opportunities for Multistakeholder consultations for managing shocks and building resilience of food system in Zimbabwe using COVID-19 experience. The panellists will then answer questions and comments from the participants of the session.
